Prime Minister Narendra Damodar Modi will launch 5G in India today at the sixth edition on 1Oct 2022.

5G Launched in India- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has officially announced the launch of 5G in selected metro cities starting today. Jio and airtel has not reveal the 5G plan yet however they are commit to reveal these by 2023. The launch took place at the India Mobile Congress in Delhi. Airtel confirm that it will roll out 5G in eight metro cities starting today. Jio will bring 5G to selected cities first, and plans to cover the entire country by 2023.

In first phase 5G will launch in thirteen cities only. But yes, full 5G coverage will take time, till 2024 or 2025 as operators like Airtel have noted. We are still waiting the official announcement from Vodafone-Idea for its 5G plans.

5G in India: Which cities will get it first in the country

It is the revolution in internet world for India. 5G is the next generation of mobile communication networks, supposed to offer much faster speeds and wider use cases than 4G or 3G. It is believed that the rollout of 5G will accelerate the adoption of cloud gaming, virtual reality technology, Internet of Things, data usage in entertainment.
