The OnePlus 10T

OnePlus 10T reviews
The OnePlus 10T relies on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and very fast wired charging to attract attention, but the rest of the phone disappoints, and fails to compete wth both more expensive and cheaper alternatives.

Pros

- Latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor

- 20 minutes to charge the battery

Cons

- Plastic chassis

- No alert slider

- No wireless charging

OnePlus says it “never settles,” and the T-versions of its old phones proved it! OnePlus T devices would update an existing OnePlus phone with new technology after about six months to make sure it provided the best possible value.

Design

The OnePlus 10T is less of a 10 series and more a Nord series smartphone. By which I mean, do not buy it expecting to get the full premium experience you get with the OnePlus 10 Pro, and instead bank on something similar to a high-class mid-range model that could top the Nord line. While it has glass on the back, the chassis is made of plastic — and that’s a big problem.

Performance

Its performance flagship phone, while the 10 Pro is its camera flagship. Backing this up is a switch from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in the 10 Pro to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor in the 10T.

Screen and sound

It’s not an LTPO 2.0 AMOLED but a Fluid AMOLED panel, which means it may not return the promised efficiency benefits of the 10 Pro’s screen, which can adjust from 1Hz to 120Hz. The OnePlus 10T’s 6.7-inch screen is the same size as the OnePlus 10 Pro’s, but the specification is lower.

Camera

You get a Sony IMX766 50-megapixel main camera and an 8MP wide-angle camera, plus an almost entirely pointless 2MP macro camera. It’s a 16MP selfie camera in the central hole-punch cutout in the screen.

Hasselblad has not been involved with the OnePlus 10T’s camera system, so there’s no Hasselblad branding on the back and no Hasselblad tuning inside either.

Software

Like the OnePlus 10 Pro, the 10T uses OxygenOS 12 built over Android 12 — and the experience is identical, warts and all. On the plus side, I haven’t had any problems with apps, and it’s never slow in any way.

Web (Internet) Protocols

The standard network protocol of the Internet, TCP/IP, stands for Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol. The Internet Protocol part of the standard refers to the addressing of data message packets. Additional protocols that operate within the TCP/IP framework include UDP, HTTP and FTP. Each has different functions and purposes that ultimately work together to provide assorted capabilities through what's currently known as the World Wide Web.

What is a domain name?

A domain name is a string of text that maps to a numeric IP address, used to access a website from client software. In plain English, a domain name is the text that a user types into a browser window to reach a particular website. For instance, the domain name for Google is ‘mobilinfoworld.com’.

What is a Sub domain ?

A subdomain name is a piece of additional information added to the beginning of a website’s domain name. It allows websites to separate and organize content for a specific function — such as a blog or an online store — from the rest of your website.

A domain name typically has two parts: The top-level domain (TLD) is the extension, such as .com or .org, and the second-level domain (SLD) is the unique part of the domain name, often a business or brand name. In the monileinfoworld.com example, com is the TLD and monileinfoworld is the SLD.

In India airtel will soon roll out 5G services and Jio is expected to follow soon after, but what is 5G?

Bharti Airtel announced earlier this week that it will begin 5G services in India before the end of the september. Rival telco Reliance Jio is also rumoured to make an announcement regarding its upcoming 5G network on August 15. With operators finally close to launch the next-gen cellular network in India, here’s a quick look at everything you need to know about 5G in India.

What is 5G? How is it different from 4G networks?

The fifth generation mobile network, 5G is a global standard for wireless networks that improves on the capabilities of 4G. 5G not only brings much faster connectivity speeds but also opens new use-cases in gaming, entertainment and other aspects thanks to its high bandwidth and low latency.

5G speeds can be up to 100 times faster than 4G speeds, allowing users to download feature-length movies in seconds and make use of more deeply connected technologies like Augmented Reality gaming.

5G Bands: What are they and how many do you need?

Smartphones that have been launching with 5G support over the past couple of years have all mentioned the number of 5G bands they will support, with newer smartphones even supporting 9 or 12 bands. But what are these bands and why are they important?

The 5G network works on a range of frequencies. These are classified across multiple smaller frequency ranges called frequency bands. While some bands receive low frequencies (wide coverage, slow speed), others receive mid-range frequencies and some bands receive high-range frequencies (high speed, limited coverage).

Which smartphones support 5G?

To support 5G, a phone must have a 5G compatible processor. You can check if your device has a 5G processor by navigating to Settings/ About phone and checking the processor under the Hardware section. If you have a chip mentioned below, your phone will support 5G networks.

Qualcomm: Snapdragon 865, Snapdragon 865+, Snapdragon 870, Snapdragon 888, Snapdragon 888+, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1

Snapdragon 695, Snapdragon 765/765G, Snapdragon 750/750G, Snapdragon 768/768G, Snapdragon 778/778G/778+

MediaTek: Entire MediaTek Dimensity series from Dimensity 700 to Dimensity 9000. MediaTek Helio-series and other series chipsets do not support 5G.

Samsung: Exynos 9820, Exynos 9825, Exynos 990, Exynos 2100, Exynos 2200
